At the bottom of the bowl, a giraffe is formed from royal blue, yellow, and orange wax print patterns; on the inner rim, blue and yellow rays. The white of the porcelain complements these blues, from royal blue to midnight blue, while the pebbled exterior offers a textured finish. We pay tribute to the iconic "Ampoules" fabric, reinterpreted under the name "Electric Bulb". ("Electric bulbs", the light bulbs, is the English name for this pagne in Nigeria.)

✨ What the pattern tells

This pattern evokes light, modernity, and the arrival of electricity in homes. It carries the idea of a light that transforms everyday life and brings modernity into the home.

Our reinterpretation

On this bowl, the giraffe is drawn from royal blue, yellow, and orange wax print patterns at the bottom of the piece, and blue and yellow rays run along the inner rim. The pebbled exterior retains its textured finish, contrasting with the interior design. Our silhouette concept consists of embedding any wax print fabric from the catalog into the shadow of an animal: here, the giraffe brings a figurative presence, while the border retains the atmosphere of the pattern. You can thus choose a child's favorite animal, an astrological sign, or a different animal for each member of the family. This bowl is decorated to order in our Alfortville workshop, with the pattern prepared, applied, and glazed by hand before firing.
