This glass bottle is our tribute to the iconic "Indigo" fabric, a reinterpretation we have named "Adire": "Adire" means "to tie and dye" in Yoruba (Nigeria), it is the name of fabrics dyed in indigo using resist techniques.

In Abeokuta, Nigeria, Yoruba women have made adire an art: the fabric is tied, folded, or protected with cassava paste, then dipped in indigo, and white suns appear where the dye did not take.

Our reinterpretation
On the bottle, the pattern tightens into a band: the small white rosettes form a frieze on the indigo blue background, like the resists of a dyed fabric. This bottle is decorated to order in our workshop in Alfortville, with the pattern prepared, applied, and enameled by hand before firing.
