On the white porcelain, a vertical band crosses each square plate: diamonds, chevrons and triangles create a rhythm in chocolate brown, ochre, rust and mustard yellow. This set is our tribute to the iconic Bogolan fabric.

🟫 The history of the pattern

Bogolan is a traditional Malian cotton fabric, dyed with fermented mud, whose geometric signs tell ancestral stories. Each region has its own style, from the Dogon country to Ségou.

✨ What the pattern tells

A fabric that has become a symbol of Malian cultural identity. Tradition says that it protects by absorbing the dangerous forces released during childbirth. As a gift, this identity and protective symbolism invites the transmission of a cultural story.

Our reinterpretation

On each square plate, the vertical band features the diamonds, chevrons and triangles of Bogolan in the following colors: chocolate brown, ochre, mustard yellow, rust and white. The pieces are decorated to order in our Alfortville workshop: the pattern is prepared, applied and glazed by hand before firing. The packaging box measures 31 × 31 × 10 cm.

In the soft light of a morning or dinner, a linen tablecloth brings out the earthy tones of the pattern, while the square plates create a table with clean lines. As a gift, the identity and protective symbolism of Bogolan is passed on with a piece to be completed according to the chosen composition.
