On the white porcelain, small chevrons and black dots are arranged in regular rows, like advancing arrows. This light and graphic design adorns each square plate. This set is our tribute to the iconic "Bogolan" fabric.

Bogolan is a traditional Malian cotton fabric, dyed with fermented mud, whose geometric patterns tell ancestral stories. Each region has its own style, from the Dogon country to Ségou.

✨ What the pattern tells

Bogolan has become a symbol of Malian cultural identity. Tradition says that it protects by absorbing the dangerous forces released during childbirth. Ideal as a gift for someone who wishes to keep close a pattern imbued with this history.

Our interpretation

The small chevrons and black dots are arranged in rows across the entire plate, on the white porcelain, to graphically reinterpret the signs of Bogolan. The plates are decorated to order in our workshop in Alfortville, with the pattern prepared, applied and glazed by hand before firing. They are presented in a 31 × 31 × 10 cm box.
