On each plate, a wide ring of raspberry pink, sunshine yellow, and anise green flowers, with finely veined petals on a pale mauve background, frames a white center. The table thus takes on a festive air. This piece is our tribute to the iconic "Fleurs de Mariage" fabric.

🌺 One pattern, a thousand names

Designed in the late 1970s, this bouquet of hibiscus flowers with finely veined petals became one of the most beloved, and most copied, wax fabrics. In the world of wax, it is the market women and those who wear the fabrics who give the patterns their names.

• Fleurs de Mariage (French-speaking West Africa, in French): the fabric given to newlyweds.
• Hibiscus (West Africa, in French): a similar pattern, worn by the bride's single friends, who humorously display that they are also looking for a suitor.

✨ What the pattern tells

The couple's happiness and the promise of a happy home are at the heart of this pattern. It is a festive fabric, given as a gift and worn around a wedding.

Our reinterpretation

Here, the hibiscus bouquet becomes a wide floral ring on the edge of the plate, while the white center lets the design breathe. The flowers unfold in raspberry pink, sunshine yellow, and anise green on a pale mauve background, around a white center. Each piece is decorated to order in our Alfortville workshop, pattern prepared, applied and enameled by hand before firing. The packaging box measures 31 × 31 × 10 cm.

In the soft light of a festive dinner, on a light tablecloth, the raspberry pink and sunshine yellow flowers echo the pale mauve of the plates. For a wedding, this box is given as a wish for shared happiness.
