In West Africa, this floral fabric is given to newlyweds: it symbolizes happiness.

The palette brings together raspberry red, pink, sunshine yellow, anise green and white; raspberry red, sunshine yellow and anise green flowers stand out on a pink background. On the soup plate, the design forms a floral ring; the coffee cup features an all-over pattern; in the speckled mug, the pattern is revealed on the inside. It is our tribute to the iconic "Fleurs de Mariage" fabric.

🌺 One pattern, a thousand names

Designed in the late 1970s, this bouquet of hibiscus flowers with finely veined petals became one of the most beloved wax fabrics, and one of the most copied. In the world of wax, it is the market women and those who wear the fabrics who give them their names.

• Fleurs de Mariage (French-speaking West Africa): the fabric given to newlyweds.
• Hibiscus (West Africa): a similar pattern, worn by the bride's single friends, who humorously show that they are also looking for a suitor.

✨ What the pattern tells

The pattern evokes the happiness of the couple and the promise of a happy home. It is a festive fabric, given as a gift and worn around a wedding.

Our reinterpretation

In this version, the raspberry red, sunshine yellow and anise green flowers stand out on a pink background; the soup plate features a floral ring, the coffee cup an all-over pattern, and the speckled mug a pattern on the inside. Each piece is decorated to order in our workshop in Alfortville: pattern prepared, applied and glazed by hand before firing. The packaging box brings it all together.
