The palette combines chocolate brown, ochre, mustard yellow, rust and white. This coffee cup and its saucer are our tribute to the iconic "Bogolan" fabric.

Bogolan is a traditional Malian cotton fabric, dyed with fermented mud, whose geometric signs tell ancestral stories. Each region has its style, from the Dogon country to Ségou.

✨ What the pattern tells

Bogolan has become a symbol of Malian cultural identity. A custom says that it protects by absorbing the dangerous forces released during a birth. It is in this spirit of protection that this pattern can accompany a birth gift.

Our reinterpretation

On the cup, the full pattern unfolds chocolate brown, ochre, mustard yellow and rust diamonds and chevrons; on the saucer, a ring takes up the decoration around a white center. Each piece is decorated to order in our workshop in Alfortville, pattern prepared, applied and glazed by hand before firing.
