Circles holding onto one another, like a chain.
On the white cup, interlocking navy blue and orange rings form a continuous chain around the piece; the saucer features a border of the same design. The color palette also includes red and white. This coffee cup and saucer are our tribute to the iconic "Interlocking Rings" fabric.
⭕ One pattern, a thousand names
In this everyday fabric, blue and orange circles interlock in a chain; where they cross, small four-petaled flowers appear. In the world of wax print, it is the market women and those who wear the fabrics who give the patterns their names.
✨ What the pattern tells
The circles hold onto one another like a chain: they evoke unity, friendship, and family coming together around the table. A joyful, rhythmic everyday pattern, it accompanies shared moments. It is given as a gift to express connection, friendship, or the pleasure of coming together.
Our interpretation
On these pieces, the interlocking rings unfold all around the cup; on the saucer, they form a border. Navy blue and orange create the chain on the white background, and the color palette also includes red. This cup and saucer are decorated to order in our Alfortville workshop, with the pattern prepared in the workshop, applied and glazed by hand before firing.
At your table
In the soft morning light, on a light linen tablecloth, the cup and saucer find their place in a moment shared by two or more. As a gift, they express friendship and family unity, like circles holding onto one another.
